Mated a nice playing vintage 1960s Conn 60H tuning in the slide bass trombone with a pair of inline Greenhoe valves. The result� yes, an ridiculous playing inline "Elkhart Conn 62H" Overall, this thing is badass. The Greenhoe valves are fabulous blowing and gives a great pop to the Conn, enhancing the qualities that make 62Hs so special. The bell flare is paper thin, and had some poor repair work done to it, as a result we decided to play it safe and add a patch (got the metal from a 1930 Alexander french horn bell) as a precaution to guard from the bell splitting or tearing, not the most elegant solution but the bell plays so well, I wanted to ensure that it would last for many years of use and not take a chance that it could be ruined from daily use online.
