The valve action is great and the valve section has a good blow to it. Some well known trombone concertos from this period include works by Pascal Dusapin, Derek Bourgeois, Lars-Erik Larsson, Launy Grøndahl, Nino Rota, Christopher Rouse and Henri Tomasi. Given the best evidence, which by all accounts is very much incomplete, the earliest trombone, called the sackbutt and similar names in England, seems to have emerged from Belgium circa 1450.

It features a 9 3/4" gold brass bell, .532"/.554" dual bore slide and has had the trigger linkage updated to a modern style ball and socket with thumb paddle (instead of the leather thong). This allows for the 2nd valve to be optional, giving the performer a "2 in 1" model bass trombone. Comparable to a King 3B, the Bach LT16M usually has a more direct and focused sound. I did this because I have played Greenhoe 62Hs in the past and while I find them to play great, they always felt awkward to me with the narrow slide.

The advantage of a TIS trombone is the full conical back bow yielding a warm and focused sound with superior slotting due to the consistent taper expansion at this critical part of the instrument. It was made at the New York factory and has the "67" stamp on the bell. It makes it very fast so that articulation is very clean and effortless. Another customer writes: "I bought some choral music off your site. This lowest note is the first partial, and while the horn can make lower noises, they are not because of the instrument resonating at that frequency. The change in engraving patterns happened around SN 9000. I think these are a step above the ubiquitous Jinbao altos on ebay. $425 with case.

It makes it very fast so that articulation is very clean and effortless. A Tuba is one of those instruments where you don't notice the sound to much when its in a piece of music, but whenever it's not there something definitely sounds missing and weird. Being slide tuning, the bell is lightly braced and creates an aesthetically pleasing trombone. This historic trombone is in very good condition. Brass ensembles are popular groups in the classical world.

Musical instruments made by Carlo Giuseppe Testoro have gained such fame over the years that to this day musicians prefer Testoro made instruments. With the original case. $1900 and won't last long A nice 1970s vintage Bach 36B with lightweight nickel silver slide. Maybe I'm partial to it because it is a few serial numbers away from my beloved 66H SPEC I personally play. The bell is beautiful, a one piece brazed yellow brass flare. If someone has some info on this let me know. It could be said that the horns form a kind of bridge between the woodwind and the heavier brass sections and much of their duty in the orchestra is to fill in with and blend in with the woodwind instruments.
