There have been some internet reviews of this instrument as being too flat to play. Popular hymn tune tune made famous by Fats Waller. It's a great player with a big sound, perfect for lead or section playing. More often than not, tenor trombones with an F attachment, or trigger, have a larger bore through the attachment than through the 'straight' section (the portion of the trombone through which the air flows when the attachment is not engaged).

Later on in the 18th century, with the advent of valves for musical instruments, valve trombones were first made. As late as 1790 Albrechtsberger complained of 'trombones written in unison with alto, tenor or bass voice'. Sattler used the rotary valve attachment to provide a way to play the notes between the fundamental B♭1 (first position) and the second partial E2 (seventh position). Think of these trombones as the ultimate 6H, built at a time when a Conn trombone was the absolute top end custom trombone... that's what this horn is.

The original case is included in stunning condition, just like the instrument. Notice too that the bell begins to add the 'brassy' sound. The instrument or organ is comprised of 37 stalactites that are spread over a 3.5 acre area in the Luray caverns of Virginia. This trombone is one of the best playing examples of a model 6 I've had come through the shop. The Leipzig musicians usually had access to municipal instruments kept in the town hall tower.

Might be one of the best piccolos with pedigree on the market right now. $3400 This is an exotic and beautiful large bore tenor trombone. These were made as less expensive options to the stradivarius line, keeping the price down by having all brass trim instead of nickel accents. The slide is a small bore, .485" and has a nice even balanced blow. Also this is not an instructable about coating after polishing. Since they are easy to handle and they produce sound with just a puff of a breath, kids enjoy experimenting with these little instruments.
