A couple of misprints here and there throughout the whole book (or even per chapter) would be acceptable, but I agree with the other reviewer that at times, the misprints are as much as one per page. The book includes topics not usually found in a single book at this level. "[The author] avoids aimless wandering among the topics by explicitly heading towards milestone theorems... [His] directed path through these topics should make an effective course on the mathematics of surfaces.
